His name is Mxolisi Mario Mbhele from KZN in a small village well known for its Robbery’s Amaotana, He is a hiphop fan who also happen to write, dance, walk and breathe HipHop. Mizzy started rapping in 2006 when He was only 12 years old doing grade 8 at that time, Introduced by his friend to the culture who also convinced him to put pen to the page and rhyme, that’s where He hung up his soccer boots and decided tell his stories in the booth for the rest of his life. He was also inspired by the music that his late mother used to play on Sundays while doing house chores.
Some might know him by the name Mario but He eventually changed to Mizzy because people thought He could sing like mario from overseas, “so as we all know Drake (Drizzy) lil wayne(weezzy) so i decided to call myself “Mizzy” ” – he states.
Mizzy a solo artist signed at Ulaka Music Working on his EP for his upcoming MixTape, featuring artists who do good music in and around Durban, the mixtape title is UNDERGROUND PROFESSIONALS. “I believe this will be really good creating my own platform entertaining the youth and making everyone even grand parents to dance for my music focusing on being one of the best recognized artist from SA (KZN) winning awards goin National,Continental, international with my unique taste of music. I’m SELF INSPIRED SELF MOTIVATED AND I BELIEVE IN MY SELF AND MY MUSIC” He concludes. The Beach EP is the debut EP release from Morgan Mafu, released on 07 June 2014 on Independent record production company Nu Age Muzik. Production for the EP began in April 2013 at Iron & Concrete Studios.
The EP’s title track The Beach is inclusive of a Sade sample from “Shadows” and consists of heavy vocoder pop elements. On “Rock The Boat” the record begins with a Pink Floyd sample of “Have A Cigar” which ,just like the former, consists of heavy autotuning and tribal chants.
The rest of the EP, is considered to be blunt [Summer Is A Bitch] and is rebellious to the youth of the millennium, with a protest song like “Survive”, which is widely embraced by the poetry society.
